If corrective actions aren’t immediately taken, the system will take over the steering wheel and gently guide the vehicle back to the center of the lane. Another advanced feature is the drowsy driver detection, which monitors for drowsy behavior, such as fluctuations in speed and continuously drifting from the lane, and advises the driver to take a break. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go also comes standard, maintaining a set speed while matching that of the lead vehicle. Say you’re traveling at 60 MPH and set the cruise control. If you come to a vehicle that is traveling 57 MPH, the Wagoneer S will match that speed and maintain a safe distance while behind it, only going back up to the set speed when it is safe to do so. This feature even works in stop-and-go traffic. Active Drive Assist, Jeep’s eyes-on-road, hands-on-wheel semi-autonomous driving system, is also included, coordinating numerous safety features to maintain speed and lane position with minimal driver intervention.
