Is the Wrangler powerful?
You know it is! Several engine options are available for the Wrangler, each with an outstanding amount of horsepower and torque. The first engine we will talk about is the 3.6-liter V6 which delivers an exceptional 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft torque and comes with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, both of which give you a smooth ride. Optional for two-door versions of the Wrangler is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that will give drivers up to 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque and pairs with the eight-speed automatic. A diesel engine is also available for the Wrangler, a turbodiesel 3.0-liter V6 that kicks out 260 horses and 442 lb-ft of torque, and is available on all four-door versions of the Wrangler. For those who want a ton of power, we recommend using the Rubicon trim, as it has a 6.4-liter V8 capable of producing 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. We round things out with the 4xe, which is a hybrid engine that takes a turbocharged four-cylinder and pairs it with a battery pack and two electric motors to generate 375 horsepower, 470 lb-ft of torque, and 22 miles of all-electric range!
Spectacular features for the Wrangler!
Power is not all the Wrangler has to offer, as the Jeep Wrangler comes loaded with features no matter what trim level you get! The Sport is the base trim, and it comes with foglights, tow hooks, skid plates, 17-inch steel wheels, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Sport S adds to this with alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and air conditioning. The four-door Wrangler trims start with the Sahara, which comes with the most performance-enhanced, luxury, and tech as you get items such as a body-colored grille and fender flairs, 18-inch wheels, full-time four-wheel-drive, remote keyless entry, automatic climate control, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation, and an upgraded driver information display. Finally, for off-roaders, there is the Rubicon which comes with all the latest off-road items such as 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, heavy-duty front, and rear axles, locking front and rear differentials, and rock rails, while the Rubicon 392 has high-performance electronic brakes, a 2-inch suspension lift, and Fox shock absorbers.
How safe is the Wrangler?
The short answer is the Wrangler is very safe as several advanced safety systems are designed to keep you secure as you traverse the open roads and the wilderness. There is a standard Blind-Spot Monitoring system with Rear-Cross Path Detection, which will monitor the areas around the Wrangler for vehicles and other obstacles so you can make safer lane changes and see all the things that are coming up behind you. Additionally, an Adaptive Cruise Control system allows drivers to maintain a pre-set distance between the Wrangler and the vehicle in front of it. Then there is the Forward Collision Mitigation system that will warn you when you are about to get into a head-on collision and will even apply the brakes if you don’t. The Wrangler is designed to keep you safe no matter where you go!
